D-Day Conneaut 2016 - Day 3

Our final day in Conneaut was the day of the main battle.  This year we opted to watch the battle from the end of our street - the airplanes are the best part after-all.  But before the battle, we headed to camp to take it all in.

Every year, we try to have a game plan, and every year, we end up just doing whatever.  It's tough to see everything when there's so much to see, so next year, I'll look out for events we haven't experienced to share with you all - or you could just join us in Conneaut for the weekend (August 18-19, 2017)!

P.S. If you missed Days 1 and 2, check them out here and here.  Plus, I have one more post to share with you all!

D-Day Conneaut 2016 - Day 2

Friday, we headed to Ashtabula Harbor for some delicious coffee and burgers (not together, obviously), and then to D-Day camp to check how everything was coming along.

We felt a little strange walking around camp with no other tourists, so we headed back to the cottage to hang out before the evening concert!

After dinner, we rode our bikes to the Conneaut Arts Center for some live music and a bit of mystery (the bass player in the band looked like our cousin, so my mom had to come see for herself.  #spoileralert my cousin isn't secretly in a band).

A little bit into the concert, some re-enactors were dancing in the lawn, so the lead singer invited them on stage to perform with the band.

Thankfully, the rain held off, and we were able to enjoy a few hours of live music.

If you missed Day One, check it out here and stay tuned for the last day, as well as what I wore for the weekend.
