In case anyone was wondering why I haven't blogged in so long (shame on those of you who haven't), it's because I was too busy getting MARRIED! And then we went on a mini-moon to Kentucky!
First stop: Lexington!
I'm still incredibly upset this place wasn't open. |
We had lunch at Local Taco near campus, bought some records from the Album and wandered downtown to get a beer before checking into our hotel (that we booked at the last possible second).
Once we were all checked in, we headed downtown for some pretentious mussels and incredibly hipster burgers/fish and chips (not at the same place). Then ordered the "special" from the menu - "The BFF".
The next day, we headed out of Lexington, but not before hitting up a "brew-stillery" (Town Branch).....
We got to taste lots of delicious beers and some bourbon.

It's a hat! |
Since Lexington and Louisville are so close, we made it to Louisville in about 40 minutes, so we checked into the Rocking Horse Manor.
Then we explored NuLu a bit:
John Ley Antiques |
We ate some pizza/calzones at Garage Bar, and Adam contemplated our lives.
The next day, we toured the Louisville Slugger factory:
Adam tried to steal the famous bats. |
Then we walked along the Ohio River:
Look! It's Indiana! |
Adam made a friend. |
And we got lunch (mostly to watch USA v Germany).
Friday morning we headed home (without Town Branch Bluegrass Sundown, boo).
Actually, here's one more:
Peace Out.
