Saving Daylight - P2

You will not hear me complaining about Daylight Saving time anymore. We might lose an hour on one day, but dang! we get so much extra sunlight in the evening. Which makes taking photos (like these) in our entryway obsolete (at least for a bit).

Kimono: Vintage, Top: Theyskens Theory (Hand-Me-Down), Trousers: JCrew,
oots: YES!, Socks: Gabriel Brothers, Necklace: The Jewelry Box

This outfit accomplishes a few goals:
1. It's basically pajamas, so v. comfy.
2. It's v loose so it hides a growing baby bump that isn't exactly public knowledge yet.
3. There might be one more thing, but I can't remember it now.

This was another one of those outfits that came together by accident. I wanted to wear my vintage kimono to work one day, but wasn't sure with what. Then, I noticed the green in the kimono was the same green as my linen JCrew pants, so bam! Outfit made.

What do you look for in an outfit?

Mixed Media P3

Sharing some more adventures in pattern mixing today!

Blazer: Hand-Me-Down, Dress: Swapped, Flats: Zara/DIY

If you are easing into the pattern mixing world, try matching colors together. Black and white are neutrals, so go with anything. Layer over a bold floral jacket in darker colors, and you're all set.

For cooler temps, layer tights, a turtleneck and boots under your look, and you are really all set.

Multi-Media P2

Continuing the theme of "things I wore when it was warmer, but now will layer over other things because it's colder" with today's blog post.

Sweater, Dress: Swapped, Button-Down: Hand-Me-Down, Boots: Forever21,
Sunglasses: Noto, Necklaces: DIY, Gifted

Similar to Tuesday's #ootd, just layer knit tights and a turtleneck under this outfit, and a thick coat over, and it's winterized. OR don't worry about the turtleneck, and only add the tights and jacket, and you'll be all set!

Bring on the cold!

Glass Slipper

Keepin' it super simple today with lots of neutrals. Is mint a neutral?

Sweater, Shoes: Swapped, Button-Down: PacSun, Chinos: JCrew,
Sunglasses: ReDress, Necklace: Vintage

I've probably shared this before, but I don't mind repeating myself: one of my favorite style tips is dressing in monochrome.  Add in an unexpected color, like mint, and you are good to go. Not to mention iridescent jelly sandals really match with anything.

What are some of your fail-safe style tips?
