Smart Denim

Last month, Adam and I attended the "Us." show by Lady Noel Designs (and family). Lauren and her two sons created amazing mixed media paintings that they shared with the community.

From Lauren's website:
"The series includes the artist and her two sons Dylan and Keegan. The body of work was to bring awareness and break through boxes and assumptions with autism. The work was a continued process in which Keegan who is on the spectrum began to create. His work in these pieces varies from logos, lettering, and images of Pixar and Disney characters. Once Keegan was finished Dylan who is 9 began to create beautiful imagery that was inspired by Star Wars, Marvel and Dinosaurs. Following the boys completion the artist Lauren went into each painting color blocking and creating portraiture work."

The show was beautiful. Lauren also shared the process on her instagram, which was so lovely to watch.

Now that I'm a mother, I want to inspire my child (and possible future children) to explore any and all things that inspire them: any outlets for their creativity, frustrations, etc., so this show was incredibly inspiring.

But enough with the gushy stuff. Here's what I wore!

Jacket, High Tops: Thrifted, Jumpsuit: JCrew, Bag: Old Navy, Sunglasses: ReDress

After the show, Adam and I headed downtown (Cleveland) for dinner at Neuvo Cleveland. The food is the same as the Akron location, but the view is so much better. Definitely a good option when overwhelmed by options.
