Right now, you may be saying to yourself: WTF Abby, these photos are clearly not recent. Another thought you may be having is, "FSU is NOT playing tonight. Get over it." And you aren't wrong. These photos are only relevant, because today is the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship. And these photos were taken the day Florida State lost to Georgia Tech, which was the beginning of the downfall of our season. It was such a sad day. I had been living on a new-haircut high, having just re-introduced ombré into my life, and then to have FSU lose in the last few seconds against Georgia Tech (not to mention terrible poor sportsmanship at the bar we were watching the game at) just really put a damper on the day. FSU eventually lost to Clemson (later in their season), which led to Clemson taking the #1 spot to be able to compete in the Playoffs, and go on to the National Championship, where they are currently playing against Alabama, and winning tied losing.
I have a lot of feelings about all of this, but will spare you all of them, as you are not here to read about College Football, but instead fashion (for those of you here to read my ramblings, let me know!). So here's the fashion part of this post: I really like these photos because they showcase, quite possibly, one of the easiest and chicest ways to show team spirit. Pairing a VNeck Tshirt with a blazer, skinny jeans and fun shoes takes game day dressing to a-whole-nother lazy-dressing dimension. I'll be keeping this formula handy for the Super Bowl (2/6), as well as the rest of the Cavs season.
Who are you rooting for (in sports, or in life)?
